Almost everyone has experienced a powerful relationship in their life, when suddenly everything which seems so perfectly is broken off because your boyfriend wants space. There are a number of different reasons for why a boyfriend may suddenly need space, including family problems, insecurities, or a fear of commitment just to name a few. Here are some tips for answering the age old “how to get my ex back” question if your ex boyfriend needs more space.

- You do not want to lose your pride, or let him get the best of you, but clearly you are still in love with him. Playing a little bit hard to get at first may be a good idea, it will show him, it was his loss and not yours.

- You may feel like your ex boyfriend still has feelings for you, if so then it may be a good idea for you to strike up a conversation with him. Keep your communication with him to a minimum; this will keep the level of drama at a lower level. Remember he may actually want and need you, so short text messages, brief phone calls, and conversation in passing are all a great way to remind him how much he does want to be a part of your life. Doing it this way should not overwhelm him.

- Eventually he will begin to show significant interest in you again if all goes well, and this will give you the chance to truly begin to reminisce with him. Keep in mind that you should focus primarily on all of the good memories associated with your relationship in the past. While rekindling a relationship with your ex boyfriend, you are going to want to stay away from the bad experiences and negative experiences in case they conjure bad feelings and undo your hard work.

- If your boyfriend is not responding to your slow and subtle advances, you need to take it for what it is. Either he just really is not interested in you right now, or he really does just need space and you should give it to him. But if on the other hand he seems to be interested in you more than before, or is slowly warming up to you again, then you should continue gradually advancing on him to rekindle the relationship.

- If you’re ex boyfriend is giving you the right signals, you may want to open your heart up to him. Let him know how you feel, but avoid looking desperate or needy in the process. If you are getting signs that your ex is thinking about rekindling things, it would be healthy to open up to him. However, if his signals are pointing in the other direction, it would be wiser to step back and let things happen more naturally.

These are just the beginning steps in getting you ex back. They are the first steps I followed when I lost the love of my life. To be frank these are not my original ideas. I turned to T ‘Dub’ Jackson when I had no idea of how to get my love back.

T ‘Dub’ authored a simple, step by step, down to earth, plan called “The Magic of Making Up”. It worked like magic for us. We are more in love than ever.

Are you in the process of surviving a break up? You may think it is hopeless. But it’s not.

First, you have got to decide whether it’s just a temporary situation or whether the relationship is truly over. Some couples find that after a hiatus, their relationship grows stronger.

But often, you will just know that it really is over. The most important person in the whole world was probably your ex. Now, it’s time to get a replacement by finding other people and activities.

It may be possible to talk it over with your friends and family. If they really care about your problem, this is the best situation to be in. However, they could have too many of their own problems to deal with.

After a few days of listening, they’ll just tell you to get over it. You should consider going to a counselor if this is the case. Seeing a counselor is a great way to help you work through the issues that caused your break up.

You’ll have to start thinking about moving on at some point. Exchanging back all of the things that you shared with your ex is one of the best ways to do this. Anything of your ex that you want to keep, should be boxed up and put away for the time being. You do not want things that remind you of your ex lying around the house.

Since you’ve been in a relationship for a long time, you referenced yourself as “we”. Now, your frame of reference is just about “me”. Actually, it isn’t a bad place to be in.

You can now do the things you want. All of the compromises you made for the relationship are no more. Now, you can just worry about yourself and live a little.

Start doing some self improvement. Work out and maybe take some classes. Join a hiking club.

You need to get out and mingle with people, to make new friends. These friends will provide you with a great support network.

At some point, it will be time to go back on the market again. Try out a few online dating sites or go to single’s events. You won’t be completely over your ex until you find someone you really like.

And that’s how you survive a break up.
