Healing A Broken Heart With Success

Healing a broken heart starts with acceptance of the ups and downs that come with break ups. Irrespective of your actions, you have to wait for the right time for the change to take place.

A breakup can be very painful, so here are 4 steps to healing a broken heart and embracing the change in your life.

1- Come to terms with Realities.

When healing a broken heart after significant hurtful life events it’s easy to pretend that nothing has happened rather than embracing the change and moving on.

Susan resisted the idea of divorce, and would do anything to keep her marriage together. Her husband, unfortunately, who didn’t believe in therapy, and was tired of the constant therapy, was in favor of a divorce. Instead of breaking away from a partner who did not believe in the bond of marriage with her, Susan foolishly held on to it.

We’re not at all suggesting that leaving a relationship or giving up on a relationship is always the best thing to do. In fact, we are great proponents of hope and revitalizing relationships. We’re simply pointing out that this woman seemed to not see the “writing on the wall” and to accept his wishes and this change in her life.

2 – Learn from it.

In healing a broken heart, you need to see every relationship and breakup as a learning experience. Every so often, people lose touch with other and fall out of love, and when it happens we should embrace and learn from it. In so doing you will discover ways to either improve the current relationship, or become a better person for your next relationship.

3 – Be grateful for what happened.

When you are grateful for everything that happens to you, it makes you capable of healing a broken heart. Remember that you have been shaped by friends, family, ex- lovers, and all prior experiences.

Showing gratitude can make a huge difference in any relationship.

4 – Look at the present and decide where you want to be in the future.

Whether you are in a good relationship and want to make it better, in an unhappy relationship, or not in an intimate relationship now, we suggest that you take the opportunity to determine what it is that you want. What’s one small step that you can take to healing a broken heart and having what you want? Figure out what that one small step is and do it.

Everybody goes through drastic change in their lives, including breakups. Hopefully these steps will help you in healing a broken heart and opening up to a world of endless love and possibilities.
