Let’s face it; we often find ourselves in a situation which by all accounts can be considered a struggle, and trying to win back the girl of your dreams is just such a struggle.

So what did you do? Did you cheat? Were you neglectful? Selfish? Or just unlucky? The questions could go on. Whichever or whatever you did, if you seriously want to get girl back, you’re going to have to sort yourself out!

What I’m about to suggest will no doubt prove to be difficult for you to do, considering that it’s counter- initiative. Essentially, you could need to leave her alone and allow her to have her space. If you do this you may well find that she will realize just how much she misses you, and if she does, she will more than likely agree to give you another chance.

Don’t dismiss this possibility, even if all looks lost right now, equally don’t cling to it as a possibility. If it happens it happens, if it doesn’t it doesn’t!

However, if what you need to get girl back is a much more direct and hands on approach then again, take some time out and use that time to get your head straight. By default, you give her some time to think also and put the whole thing into much needed perspective.

During this time out, you may want to spend time with friends or family. Whatever you do, you definitely don’t want to be pestering her by sending her e-mails and text messages. Neither should you “accidentally” bump into in places where you know she’s likely to show up. Rather than work in your favor, these tactics will more than likely drive her further away.

Of course, when you were still together, if you failed to take out very often, or you failed to remember when her birthday was, then you really do need to analyze your own behavior because the truth is; no woman will to put up with being neglected in such a way.

Women love being made a fuss of, and they want their man to make them feel special. Also, they want to be sure that you want to be with them for more than just one reason, and if you fail to do that, they’ll be on the way to look for someone who can.

Maybe you were simply spending a lot of time with your mates and as such, you don’t really believe that you were doing anything wrong. Perhaps you were all perhaps you weren’t, but the truth is; that’s not the way one treats a lady if she’s important to you. If you were guilty of this but you’d still like to win back your girl, then I’m not being funny, but you need to get yourself sorted out.

The only way to win back your girl, is by making it clear that you understand the needs and that you’re capable of meeting them. Also, you need to be sincere because if you win her back under false pretenses, it probably won’t last very long and what’s more, she may very well be gone for good the next time around.

Let’s face it; if you’re hoping to patch things up between you and your ex, then you had better be prepared for the fact that you’re going to have to face up to the truth.

As sure as eggs are eggs, making mistakes in relationships means you have to fix them and apologize for those mistakes before there can be any making up.

When you decide you want to get back with an ex, you must be ready to face not only what has gone wrong with the relationship, but also your part in the break down of the relationship.

You should also bear in mind that it won’t do any good for you to come down too hard on yourself for having made mistakes. Remember, everybody makes mistakes and it’s not the mistakes which are important, but rather high you deal with them afterwards.

So sit down on your own and take some time to go through what happened and what were the issues that led up to what happened. Don’t concern yourself too much with what you see as your ex’s mistakes, leave that for the future. Only concern yourself right now with what you can influence.

Whatever mistakes you find in your past behavior, can they be forgiven? Don’t be too eager to get down on yourself and believe that your mistakes are basically unforgivable.

You would be surprised at the situations that couples find themselves in and that they later recover from. So don’t think that your mistakes are beyond forgiveness. There is always hope!

Try and pin point what was happening in your life at the time that led you to make the mistakes, especially if it was completely out of character for you. Remember what I said about facing hard truths, if you want to get back with ex, then you need to do this.

By determining what events were taking place at the time, you may well come to discover that your behavior was partly due to outside forces such as stressed, family problems, or even stress at work. Of course, if you do arrive at such a conclusion then you’ll need to discuss this in great detail with your ex.

If you discover that there were in fact no extenuating circumstances that that your mistakes were simply a result of selfishness or thoughtlessness, then you have still got a chance to fix things again. Of course it’s going to take an effort on your part but if you’re serious about getting back together again with your ex, than it needs to be done.

Once you’re satisfied that you have a clear understanding with regards to your mistakes and why you made them, then you should consider contacting your ex to arrange a meeting. For your sake as well as her, you should choose to meet each other in a public area where there are lots of people as this will discourage both of you from becoming emotional.

So, make sure that you stay calm and focused on what you want to say. Apologize and ask for forgiveness and then listen carefully to what your ex has to say.
